Jeanette Whalen is a retired nurse with a passion for tap dancing! She started out dabbling in dance classes to help her with her figure skating. But when she started tap lessons she found her real jam and never stopped! Jeanette has 14 yrs. experience teaching tap. She has continued to further her training through several teacher programs and certifications with Karida Griffith Walker, adjunct professor at Pace College and with Hilary-Marie Atkins. Jeanette is an enthusiastic teacher that never quits learning! This year she also attended the North Carolina Rhythm Tap Festival. She also dances with her tap troupe The Taptastics and Company! Jeanette will be teaching various levels of adult tap this coming 2024 season. She is so happy to be joining the DDI team and we are thrilled to have her!
