Sofia Colvin started dancing at Destiny Dance Institute when she was six years old. She has been a member of DDI’s Hip-Hop and Jazz Companies as well as the Wake Forest Youth Ballet for several years. In 2023 she was Teen Outstanding Dancer at NYCDA Greenville. The summer of 2023 she received a partial scholarship to the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Summer Intensive. In 2024, Sofia was a Senior Outstanding Dancer Winner at NYCDA Greenville and a Protégé Winner at Radix Concord. This summer she was fortunate to receive a full scholarship to train in Italy at the FINI Dance Intensive! Sofia has been working in the teacher internship program at Destiny Dance Institute and has shown exceptional talent for teaching! Her love and enthusiasm for dance is infectious and we look forward to her sharing that with our students. We are proud to have her join our teaching team this 2024-2025 season!
