Jonas Godwin began dancing at age 9 in his hometown Saint Petersburg, Florida at the Academy of Ballet Arts. In 2016 He joined Charlotte Ballet II under the direction of Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux and Hope Muir. He danced here for 2 years before joining The Cleveland Ballet where he danced for 3 years under the direction of Gladisa Guadelupe. He joined the Carolina Ballet in December of 2021 and this is his first season with the company.
