Laurel grew up training at Destiny Dance Institute. She was a member of DDI’s Jazz & Contemporary and Hip Hop Companies as well as the Wake Forest Civic Ballet.
Through the encouragement of Ballet Master Debra Austin, she attended Carolina Ballet’s Summer Intensive for three years and joined The School of Carolina Ballet in 2019. Laurel received invitations to summer courses at The School of American Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet which she attended in 2021. She joined Carolina Ballet’s Corps De Ballet in 2021.
