Sarah Learned, Preschool Director

Sarah Learned

Sarah has been teaching Jazz/Contemporary, Ballet and pre-dance for 20 years. Growing up, Sarah studied and competed in ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical, and attended conventions annually such as Tremaine and Dance Olympus. She began assisting her mother, Patty Ogden when she was 13, and pedagogy training by the time she was 16. She later discovered her passion for hip-hop, contemporary, and choreography. She trained in Ballet under Ruth Leney-Midkiff and Emanuel Vaceanu, and in Jazz under Patty Ogden. Her choreography and students have won many awards at competitions including “Best Choreography” in 2013 and 2014. Sarah is also a song writer and has spent several hours in the recording studio. She loves children and worked as a full-time nanny for two years.
Sarah is married with three children of her own ages 2, 6, & 9. She has taught homeschool classes and homeschooled her son, niece, and nephew together through Covid. Sarah enjoyed co-teaching in DDI’s I Can Club in its first year and is excited to continue lead teaching in this program as it grows. She has taken the Letterland Teacher Training course and will be using her many years of teaching experience with young children as well as her mothering experience to make the I Can Club a fun and nurturing learning experience. Sarah’s enthusiasm and lively spirit makes her a favorite with little ones.
Sarah continues to sharpen her skills by attending teacher intensives at Point Park University, teacher training courses, Showstoppers conventions, Shock the Intensive and master classes with well renowned teachers.
